Typed key vs. one-click activation — what's the difference?
Most platforms give you a code to type in. Ubisoft Connect doesn't — and that's intentional, not a bug.
Typed key
Used by Steam, World of Tanks, and Rockstar Games Launcher. You copy a code from My Orders and paste it into that platform's own "redeem" or "activate" screen. The key is single-use and gets permanently attached to whichever account redeems it.
One-click / link-based activation
Used by Ubisoft Connect. Your Ubisoft account is linked before you can even buy the title, so there's no code to copy — Boosteroid registers the purchase against your linked account automatically right after checkout.
Why it's different:Ubisoft's activation API works by registering entitlements directly against a verified account, rather than issuing redeemable codes — so the whole "type in a key" step simply doesn't exist for these titles.
