How to activate your key on Steam
After your purchase, Boosteroid delivers your key straight to your order page and email. Follow the steps below to redeem it in the Steam client and start playing — takes about two minutes.
Step-by-step
Find your key
Go to your Boosteroid account and open My Orders → Order history. Your key appears next to the game once payment is confirmed — it's also sent to the email used at checkout. Copy it exactly, including dashes. Tip:
Click the "copy" icon next to the key instead of selecting the text manually, to avoid grabbing an extra space. Open the Steam client
Redemption has to happen inside the Steam desktop app — not the website. If you don't have it installed yet, download Steam from steampowered.com and log in with your Steam account (or create one, it's free). Open "Activate a Product on Steam"
In the top menu bar, go to Games → Activate a Product on Steam... Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process. Confirm and install
Steam will show the game title to confirm it's correct, then add it to your library. The download will start automatically — or you can queue it for later from your Library. That's it:
the game now lives permanently in your Steam Library under your account.
If the key doesn't work
- Region locked:
Some keys only activate in specific countries. Check the "Can be activated in" field on your product page — if you're traveling, try again from home or over a local connection rather than a VPN, which Steam may flag. - Already activated:
Each key works once. If you see "this code has already been redeemed," check whether it's already sitting in your Steam Library before contacting support. - Invalid code:
Double-check for mixed-up characters — 0 (zero) vs O, or 1 vs I vs l are the most common typos. Re-copy the key rather than retyping it.
